Industrial Tour – Jetpur

An industrial visit was organized for the M.Com students on 25 February 2023 to provide practical exposure and insights into the functioning of the textile industry, specifically saree-making. The students visited a renowned sari-making karkhana in Jetpur, where they were given a comprehensive tour of the facility. Students were introduced to the history and significance of the site. Following the industrial visit, the group proceeded to Khodal Dham, a spiritual and cultural center in Kagvad, dedicated to Maa Khodiyar. This visit was a refreshing and spiritual experience, contributing to the holistic development of the students. The industrial tour to Jetpur and cultural visit to Khodal Dham was highly informative, engaging, and successful. It not only enriched students’ academic knowledge but also provided an opportunity for personal growth and experiential learning.


Industrial Tour – Balaji Wafers Visit

An industrial visit to Balaji Wafers Pvt. Ltd., Rajkot, was organized for M.Com students on 13 April 2024. The visit aimed to provide students with practical exposure to the operations and management of a large-scale manufacturing unit, and to bridge the gap between theoretical learning and real-world business practices. Students were then taken through various sections of the plant. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and were enthusiastic in their interaction with the company representatives. The industrial visit to Balaji Wafers was a highly educational and enriching experience for the M.Com 39 students. It allowed them to connect academic knowledge with industry practices and provided valuable insights into the working of a reputed manufacturing enterprise.
M.Com Seminar- One Day Seminar on Academic Pathways

The Department of Commerce successfully organized a one-day seminar on “Academic Pathways” on 25 September 2024. The event aimed to enlighten postgraduate students about various academic and research opportunities available after completing their M.Com degree, as well as to guide them in choosing the right academic trajectory in today’s competitive and dynamic environment. The seminar began with warm welcome and introductory remarks by Dr. R.B. Solanki, the coordinator of the event, who emphasized the importance of informed academic decisions and the role of such seminars in shaping students’ futures. The seminar featured two esteemed keynote speakers: Dr. Suresh Bhoye, Dr. Kapil Ghosiya. The seminar witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 160 M.Com students, who expressed great appreciation for the valuable insights shared by the speakers.
