The celebration of “Clean India” Day
Clean India Day was celebrated at N.P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod on October 2nd, 2024. Students, professors, and other staff members of the college enthusiastically participated in this entire program. The program began with an inspiring speech by the Principal of the college, Dr. S.K. Pambhar. NSS Program Officer Dr. R.C. Rathwa then followed. Students presented various plays and songs about the importance of cleanliness. College students and teachers cleaned the area around the campus. Various activities were organized to raise awareness about cleanliness, including poster and banner competitions. In this program, the students took an oath to maintain cleanliness. The Principal of the college spoke about the importance of cleanliness. He said, “Cleanliness is not only our duty but also our responsibility. Through cleanliness, we and our country can stay healthy.” Students presented slogans, plays, and songs explaining the importance of cleanliness. They made songs, posters, and banners. Through posters, students inspired people to maintain cleanliness. Students enthusiastically participated in this cleaning campaign.
Celebration of “Constitution Day”
On November 26, 2024, “Constitution Day” was celebrated at N. P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod. Students and staff members of the college participated in this celebration. The celebration began with a speech by the college Principal, Dr. S.K. Pambhar. He spoke about the importance of the Indian Constitution and its values. Following this, students gave various presentations about the Constitution. Students also participated in essay writing, elocution, and quiz competitions about the Constitution. Prizes were given to the winners. At the end of the celebration, the students pledged to uphold the values of the Indian Constitution and contribute to the development of the country.
‘Har Ghar Tiranga’
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ program was organized at N.P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod from 9 to 15 August 2024 under the guidance of Dr. R.C. Rathava. This campaign, launched by the Government of India, aimed to instill patriotism and respect for the national flag by encouraging citizens to hoist the tricolor at their homes. The program promoted national unity, celebrated 75 years of India’s independence, and reminded citizens of their responsibilities toward the nation. Students and teachers participated with great enthusiasm, taking part in various activities that highlighted the importance of India’s history, culture, and the spirit of unity.
NSS Camp Meshwan
The National Service Scheme (NSS) camp organized by N.P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod was successfully held at Meswan village from 31st December 2024 to 6th January 2025. The camp aimed to promote rural development, leadership, and social responsibility among youth through community service. Objectives of the Camp are as to involve students in rural development initiatives, To instill leadership qualities and a sense of responsibility through social work, To work on community issues like cleanliness, health, education, and environmental awareness, To give students a real-life experience of rural lifestyle and culture. The camp concluded with a heartfelt gathering attended by Principal Dr. K.R. Parmar, Prof. Jhala, school officials, trustees, village Sarpanch, and college staff. A communal meal marked the successful end of the camp. The NSS camp proved to be a meaningful and enriching experience for both students and villagers. It strengthened the bond between youth and the rural community and served as a platform for learning, service, and cultural exchange.
A Red Ribbon Club (RRC) Gujarat State Control
The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a program initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Dr. Jagruti Ben Shukla from the Government Hospital, Keshod, was present at this program and educated the students about AIDS. This program aims to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS among today’s youth and work towards its prevention. Red Ribbon Clubs are established in colleges, universities, and other educational institutions where young people are informed about this disease and encouraged to adopt safe behaviors. The Red Ribbon Club conducts various campaigns to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS. These campaigns include seminars, workshops, plays, street plays, and other programs. Information was also given on how young people can access counseling and testing services for AIDS. The entire program saw the participation of our college’s Principal, staff, and a large number of students.
Tree Plantation Program
Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra ModiJi launched the “Ek Jhad Mata Ke Naam” campaign in “Mann Ki Baat,” keeping in mind World Environment Day. Trees are life-saving for the balance of the environment. Trees are extremely important to keep our atmosphere clean and maintain the oxygen supply. Tree plantation is an effective step to spread environmental awareness. The main objective of this program is to instill environmental responsibility in students and maintain a green environment for future generations. Officers from the Range Forest Department, students, professors, and all staff members were present to participate in this program. Approximately 100 trees, including neem, Ashopalav, tamarind, custard apple, Casuarina, Ravana, mango, Adusi, Karanj, Nagor, and medicinal plants, were planted in this program. During the program, students were given information about the protection and maintenance of trees. We thank the college principal, all professors, administrative staff, and students for making this program successful. We will continue our efforts to conserve the environment by organizing tree plantation programs in the future.
“Vikas Saptah” (Development Week)
“Vikas Saptah” was celebrated with enthusiasm at N.P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod. Students and professors participated enthusiastically during this week, which aimed to promote the overall development of students. Elocution Competition: Students presented speeches on various topics, showcasing their eloquence and knowledge. Essay Competition: Students wrote essays on various topics, demonstrating their writing skills. Wall Paintings: Students drew wall paintings on various subjects. Development Pledge: Students and professors took a pledge together. During this week, students participated not only in academic activities but also in social and cultural activities. This celebration provided an opportunity for students to showcase their talents and develop their personalities. The Principal and professors of N.P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod, encouraged the students in this celebration and made it a success.
Celebration of “World Meditation Day”
“World Meditation Day” was celebrated at NP Arts and Commerce College. Students and teachers of the college participated in this celebration. Information about the importance of meditation was given in this celebration. And different types of meditation were discussed. Students also practiced meditation and learned about the importance of meditation. Information about the benefits of meditation was given in this celebration. Meditation reduces stress, Meditation provides mental peace, Meditation increases concentration, Meditation improves sleep, Meditation increases immunity. Regular meditation keeps health good. Therefore, everyone should meditate regularly.
