Orientation Programme on Cyber Awareness 2025-26
The Cyber Club of N. P. Arts & Commerce College, Keshod, organized an Orientation Programme on Cyber Awareness under CAWACH activities on 7 July 2025. The programme was designed to introduce newly admitted students to the fundamentals of cyber safety and the importance of responsible digital conduct. The major objectives of the programme were to create awareness about cyber security in everyday life, introduce students to CAWACH Kendra and its initiatives, and encourage active student participation in future cyber awareness activities. Dr. Avani L. Saraiya, Coordinator of the Cyber Club, welcomed the participants and presented an overview of CAWACH Kendra’s role in digital innovation, health resilience, and cyber security. An introduction to the college Cyber Club was also shared, emphasizing its role in promoting cyber hygiene and digital responsibility. Key topics discussed during the session included safe internet practices, types of cybercrimes, cyber hygiene, data privacy, password security, and digital ethics. The interactive Q&A session provided students with an opportunity to clarify doubts and explore preventive measures against online threats. Future plans of the Cyber Club include workshops, seminars, training sessions, competitions, short dramas, and guest lectures, all aimed at creating a cyber-smart student community. Students actively participated in the programme and expressed interest in upcoming initiatives. In conclusion, the Orientation Programme successfully sensitized students to the digital challenges of today’s world and laid the foundation for a strong culture of cyber awareness on campus.
Cyber Awareness Workshop 2025-26
The Cyber Club of N. P. Arts & Commerce College, Keshod, organized a Cyber Awareness Workshop on 7 August 2025 under the leadership of Dr. Avani L. Saraiya. The objective of the workshop was to promote safe internet usage, digital empowerment, and responsible online behavior among students. Dr. Saraiya introduced students to the significance of the internet, its advantages, drawbacks, and the challenges of the digital era. Key topics included phishing, identity theft, cyberbullying, online scams, and preventive digital safety measures. Through interactive sessions, students reflected on their internet use and engaged in meaningful discussions. The workshop emphasized the importance of critical thinking and cyber security awareness in the digital age. Feedback from participants was highly positive, highlighting the clarity and relevance of the sessions. The event successfully empowered students to navigate the digital world safely and responsibly, contributing to their development as informed digital citizens.
Interactive Theatre on Cyber Bullying and Cyber Safety 2025-26
The Cyber Club of N. P. Arts & Commerce College, under the CAWACH Kendra initiative, organized an Interactive Theatre on Cyber Bullying and Cyber Safety to raise awareness of online threats such as fraud, defaming, and harassment on 17th September 2025. The aim of the event was to educate students about the dangers of cyber bullying, the preventive measures they can adopt, and the importance of reporting issues through the national Cyber Helpline (1930). Twelve student performers presented dramatizations of real-life scenarios involving online harassment, fraud, and defaming. These acts highlighted the psychological and social effects of cyber bullying while also explaining the legal consequences under the Indian IT Act. The interactive format enabled students to connect with the theme more effectively and to understand the significance of safe digital practices. The event began with an inspiring speech by Dr. Avani L. Saraiya, Cyber Cell Coordinator, followed by Principal Dr. S. K. Pambhar, who commended the students’ creativity and emphasized the importance of responsible online behavior. After the performance, an engaging question-and-answer session was conducted, where students clarified their doubts about safe internet use, cyber laws, and reporting procedures. At the end of the program, certificates and gifts were distributed to all twelve performers as recognition of their outstanding participation. The program concluded with refreshments, creating a warm and interactive atmosphere for everyone. This event was significant in helping students recognize the dangers of cyber bullying, learn preventive strategies, and understand their role as responsible digital citizens. It served as an important reminder of the role of CAWACH Kendra in spreading awareness and the necessity of using helpline 1930 in times of cyber crisis.
