Gandhi Jayanti Celebration
N.P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod, organized a Quiz Competition on October 1, 2025, to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Since October 2nd is a national holiday, the event was held a day earlier to allow full participation from students and staff. The purpose of the program was to honor the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi, who is remembered for his principles of truth, non-violence, peace, and simple living. The quiz focused on important events from Gandhiji’s life, his role in India’s freedom movement, and his values and beliefs. Many students from both the Arts and Commerce streams took part in the quiz with great interest and enthusiasm. The questions encouraged students to learn more about Gandhiji’s contribution to the nation and the relevance of his ideas in today’s world. At the end of the quiz, the top three students were given ranks for their performance. This small recognition helped motivate students to continue learning and participating in such events. The program was successful in spreading awareness about Gandhiji’s philosophy and inspired students to follow the path of truth, simplicity, and non-violence. It was a meaningful way to celebrate the legacy of the Father of the Nation.
Gandhi Jayanti Celebration 2024-2025
N.P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 4 October 2024 to commemorate the 155 birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The event aimed to spread awareness about Gandhiji’s values of truth, non-violence, and simplicity among students. As part of the celebration, an online quiz competition was organized to engage students and test their knowledge about Mahatma Gandhi’s life, principles, and contributions to India’s freedom struggle. The event received an enthusiastic response from the students, with 35 participants actively engaging in the quiz. It served as an educational and inspiring experience, reinforcing the relevance of Gandhian principles in today’s world.
Gandhi Jayanti Celebration 2023-2024
To commemorate the 154 birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, an essay writing competition was organized on 5 October 2023, under the Gandhi Jayanti 2023-24 celebration. The event aimed to inspire students to reflect upon the values and principles of the Father of the Nation. A total of 30 students participated enthusiastically in the competition. The theme of the essay centered around the life, ideology, and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi in India’s freedom struggle and his relevance in today’s society. The competition witnessed thoughtful and articulate expressions from the participants. The event concluded with a note of appreciation for all participants, encouraging them to continue embodying Gandhiji’s ideals in their personal and academic lives.
Elocution Competition – Gandhi Jayanti 2022-23
To commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, an Elocution Competition was organized on 3 October 2022 (Monday) as a part of the Gandhi Jayanti 2022-23 celebrations. The event aimed to honor the principles and legacy of the Father of the Nation while providing a platform for students to express their thoughts and enhance their public speaking skills. A total of 20 students enthusiastically participated in the competition. The topics revolved around Gandhiji’s life, his philosophy of non-violence, truth, and his significant contributions to India’s freedom struggle. The event created an engaging atmosphere filled with patriotic fervor and thoughtful reflection on Gandhiji’s ideals. The enthusiasm and participation of the students made the program a grand success. The competition concluded with a vote of thanks and appreciation for all participants and organizers who contributed to the smooth conduct of the event.
Gandhi Jayanti 2021-22
N.P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on 2nd October 2021 with great respect and enthusiasm. The event was organized by the Cultural Committee of the college to honour the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp and offering of floral tributes to Gandhiji’s portrait. A brief speech was given by the principal highlighting Gandhiji’s life, values, and contribution to India’s freedom struggle. Students presented devotional songs (Bhajans), speeches, and a skit based on Gandhian principles of truth and non-violence. Faculty members and students participated actively. The programme aimed to spread Gandhiji’s message of simplicity, honesty, and peace among the youth. The event ended with a pledge to follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi in daily life. The celebration was simple, Teacher’s Day was celebrated at N.P. Arts & Commerce College, Keshod on Monday, 6th September 2021, with great respect and enthusiasm. The event was held to honour Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan and to express gratitude towards teachers for their valuable contribution in shaping students’ lives.
