The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a youth wing of the Indian Armed Forces. It includes the Army, Navy, and Air Force. The main aim of NCC is to train and guide young people to become disciplined, responsible, and patriotic citizens. It also gives students a chance to experience what it’s like to be an officer in the Indian military. NCC is one of the largest youth organizations in the world. Being a part of NCC during student life is not only a proud moment but also very helpful for overall personality development. By taking part in NCC activities, learning discipline, wearing the uniform, and being respected in society, students gain confidence and become different from others in a positive way. N. P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod has been awarded an NCC Army Wing with a student company of 105 cadets. This NCC unit functions under the 8 Gujarat Battalion NCC, Junagadh. During the three years of NCC training, cadets receive basic military training, including handling small arms and participating in parades. They also attend national camps and take part in various NCC activities at both regional and national levels. Along with this, cadets actively participate in social service activities. The training helps them develop a strong sense of national unity and prepares them to become responsible citizens. The institute provides a supportive environment that encourages students to grow and build leadership qualities in every area of life.

The NCC Army Wing of our college is a matter of great pride. It has brought recognition and honour to our institution. The benefits of NCC training are very encouraging. We have seen our students develop qualities like discipline, obedience, and mental strength. This training also helps them become self-reliant and independent. NCC shapes our students into responsible and devoted citizens. They carry a strong sense of patriotism and leave a lasting impression wherever they go. Our college is located in a rural area, and most of our cadets come from small villages. Yet, the NCC unit has achieved remarkable success, which makes us extremely proud.
