“Save Environment” Drawing competition

On July 18, 2023, N. P. Arts & Commerce College in Keshod organized a “Save Environment” drawing competition to raise environmental awareness among students. Coordinated by NSS Program Officer Mr. Jitendra Patel and supported by all staff members, the event featured 14 students who showcased their artistic talents. Lion Day Rally

On August 10, 2023, N. P. Arts & Commerce College in Keshod organized a Lion Day Rally to raise awareness about lion conservation. Coordinated by NSS Program Officer Mr. Jitendra Patel and supported by all staff members, the event saw participation from 47 students. The rally commenced at 11:00 AM, with students marching through the local community, chanting slogans and displaying banners emphasizing the importance of protecting lions and their habitats. This initiative aimed to educate both students and the public about wildlife conservation, particularly focusing on the significance of lions in the ecosystem. The event successfully fostered a sense of environmental responsibility among participants and highlighted the college’s commitment to ecological awareness.

“Meri Mitti Mera Desh” : Event featuring drawing, elocution, and essay competitions

On August 12, 2023, N. P. Arts & Commerce College in Keshod organized the “Meri Mitti Mera Desh” event, featuring drawing, elocution, and essay competitions. Coordinated by NSS Program Officer Mr. Jitendra Patel and supported by all staff members, the event saw enthusiastic participation from 23 students. Participants showcased their talents, expressing themes of patriotism and national pride through their creative works. The competitions aimed to foster a deeper connection to the nation’s heritage and values among students. The event successfully highlighted the college’s commitment to nurturing cultural awareness and artistic expression.

Tree Plantation

On August 14, 2023, N. P. Arts & Commerce College in Keshod organized a tree plantation event to promote environmental sustainability. Coordinated by NSS Program Officer Mr. Jitendra Patel and supported by all staff members, the event saw active participation from 76 students. Together, they planted numerous saplings within the college premises and surrounding areas, aiming to enhance greenery and raise awareness about the importance of trees. This initiative emphasized the college’s commitment to ecological conservation and encouraged students to take an active role in environmental protection. The event successfully fostered a sense of responsibility towards nature among the participants.

Thalassemia Test Camp

A Thalassemia test camp was successfully organized on August 21, 2023, at N. P. Arts & Commerce College, Keshod. The primary objective of the camp was to screen students for Thalassemia, a genetic blood disorder, and raise awareness about its early detection and prevention. The camp was coordinated by NSS Program Officer Mr. Jitendra Patel and supported by all staff members, who ensured smooth management and organization of the event. A total of 178 students participated in the screening process. The medical team conducted blood tests to identify any carriers or affected individuals.

Cleanliness Campaign

On September 27, 2023, N. P. Arts & Commerce College in Keshod organized a cleanliness campaign within the college premises. Coordinated by NSS Program Officer Mr. Jitendra Patel and supported by all staff members, the event saw active participation from 153 students. The students engaged in cleaning classrooms, and outdoor areas, demonstrating their commitment to maintaining a hygienic environment. This initiative aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and awareness about cleanliness and its impact on health and well-being. The campaign successfully fostered teamwork and emphasized the importance of a clean and organized educational environment.

Voter Day Celebration

On January 25, 2024, N. P. Arts & Commerce College in Keshod celebrated Voter Day to promote electoral awareness among students. Coordinated by NSS Program Officer Mr. Jitendra Patel and supported by all staff members, the event saw participation from 144 students. Activities included informative sessions on the significance of voting, the electoral process, and the role of young voters in a democracy. Students engaged in discussions and pledged to exercise their voting rights responsibly. The celebration successfully instilled a sense of civic duty and highlighted the importance of active participation in the democratic process.

Gujarat Cultural Elocution Competition

On January 12, 2024, N. P. Arts & Commerce College in Keshod organized a Gujarat Cultural Elocution Competition to celebrate the state’s rich heritage. Coordinated by NSS Program Officer Mr. Jitendra Patel and supported by all staff members, the event featured 11 students delivering speeches on various aspects of Gujarat’s culture, traditions, and history. Participants eloquently highlighted topics such as traditional festivals, folk music, dance forms, and notable historical figures of Gujarat. The competition aimed to enhance students’ public speaking skills while deepening their appreciation for local culture. The event successfully fostered cultural awareness and provided a platform for students to express their insights into Gujarat’s heritage.

National Integration Camp (NIC) – NSS

The National Service Scheme (NSS) organized a National Integration Camp (NIC) under the banner of Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Vishwa Vidyalaya, Kanpur, from 11th to 17th March 2024. The camp was hosted by Chaudhary Charan Singh P.G. College, Hewra, Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. It brought together NSS volunteers from various universities across India, promoting unity, cultural exchange, and national pride. Mr. Jayesh Katara, a student from B.Com. Sem-4, N.P. Arts & Commerce College, Keshod, affiliated by Bhakta Kavi Narsinh Mehta University, Junagadh, actively participated in the camp coordinate by NSS Program Officer: Mr. Jitendra Patel. The event featured activities like group discussions, cultural programs, cleanliness drives, and workshops focused on youth empowerment and national integration.

Rock Climbing Camp

Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Mountaineering Training Centre Junagadh, and The National Service Scheme (NSS), Bhaktakavi Narsinh Mehta University Junagadh jointly organized a basic rock-climbing training course from 04/10/2023 to 13/10/2023 coordinate by NSS Program Officer: Mr. Jitendra Patel. The training aimed to develop physical fitness, courage, and team spirit among students. Jayesh Katara, a student of N. P. Arts and Commerce College, Keshod, actively participated in this program. During the course, participants learned essential rock-climbing techniques and safety measures. The training proved to be a valuable experience in promoting adventure sports and discipline among youth.
